Dr. iur. Hans-Josef Lütke
Dr. Hans-Josef Lütke is an attorney-at-law and a certified specialist in copyright and media law, based in Chemnitz, Saxony (Germany).
After studying law in Münster and Helsinki, he completed his legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the Regional Court of Essen. He spent his elective stage at an international law firm in Singapore.
Following this, Dr. Lütke worked for several years at an international auditing firm before founding his own law firm in Chemnitz in 1998. He also earned his doctorate there.
For many years, Dr. Hans-Josef Lütke has focused his practice on copyright and media law as well as the broader field of intellectual property. His advisory and litigation work covers, in particular, German and European unfair competition law, copyright law, utility model and design law, trademark law, as well as the German Whistleblower Protection Act and the Trade Secrets Act.
In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Lütke has published extensively on issues of intellectual property law. Of particular note is a commentary on the Trade Secrets Act and the Whistleblower Protection Act, co-authored with Prof. Dr. Ludwig Gramlich, as well as an accompanying practical guide for businesses.
